Win 7 MS Office 2010 Outlook. When switching to another user will Outlook continue to download email at the specified intervals for the other user? Both are logged on.

If Outlook is open for one logged on User, it will not be available for another logged on User. To get access for the other User, Outlook would have to be closed & then reopened by the other User. This would therefore mean that it will that Outlook would not download emails at the specified interval for the User that does not have Outlook open.

I don't close Outlook when switching to other user. Outlook can be open in both users, each having different email accounts. But, maybe the user has to be active to enable the specified interval downloads.

Do you have a separate Outlook Profile for the other user, if so then what I said in Post #2 will apply. If you only have the one Profile for both Users, but each User has separate email accounts then what you say should be correct. If this is the case then it should still notify of any new incoming mail, providing Outlook is open.
