Has anyone posted the cause of MS Office crashes involving KERNELBASE.dll?
I can reproduce the problem reliably but have no fix for it.
MS Office 2010 apps, on Wix 7 Ultimate x64.
APPCRASH on opening docs.

Here is details of PowerPoint 2010 crashing (reproducibly) upon opening specific docs. The offending docs are .pptx (natively created), they include only text and graphics. The docs have no embedded objects. and PowerPoint has no 3rd party plug-ins, and all Microsoft default plug-ins disabled. The docs are very small (6 slides).
Here is the crash details:

Try uninstall MS Office and then reinstall again.

Where did you get the copy of MS Office 2010 from? (if from Internet, what website link?)

MS Office 2010: reproducible APPCRASH : fix found.

My copy of MS Office Professional Plus 2010 was downloaded from Microsoft's Partner Network Software Downloads site.

I found a way to make the crashes go away... I suspected a printer driver so I deleted the suspected printer from the Devices and Printers control panel, but this had no affect on the crashing. So I opened the Print Server Properties dialog, selected the associated driver on the Drivers tab, selected 'Remove Driver and Driver Package', and then the crashes stopped happening.
Of course, I have no printer ....

p.s. the driver was Windows 7 certified and was found/installed by Windows during printer installation.
