hi folk's
hope you all are fine. Need a help here for MS outlook 2007.
The problem i am facing is, when i click new email to send some one i just put the initial alphabet of the email address like for example i type a and the complete email address shown benethe which starts with alphabet " A" or what ever alphabet i typed. But right now i am unable to get the complete address as before and its my official work email which we use at work place. I really dont understand what problem has occured and why it occured that i loose all the addresses
Note : i didnt save the addresses in the contact list, because when ever i typed the new address it automatically stored it self so i dont have to retype the complete whole address again for it, but now all the addresses are gone which is really painfull to email every one to get them back to use the same manner as above mentioned, so please help me out what to do here so i can save these addresses so i dont have to retype them again ? OR how can i restore my previous addresses ?

I think what you are referring to is the Auto Complete list of email address you have used. This is only a temporary list. There as several Disk clean up tools that will delete this file.

Hopefully you are a great computer user and have been making regular backups. You could restore the file. For info about the file see: Copy the AutoComplete list to another computer

If you don't have a backup then you wuill have to go through yuour sent items to recover the email address.

Unless you store the email address in the contacts, you run a high rick of losing the data.

It is very easy to create a contact from an email message you have received. See: Create a contact from an e-mail message that you receive

Another great reason to store email in your contacts is they will be on your safe list and will not get treated as spam!

My advice:
If the email address really is important then tell Outlook by adding it to your contacts.

The file extension .nk2 is used to represent the auto complete file of Microsoft Outlook 2002 and later.
It is an important part of outlook. .NK2 files stores the names of email addresses to which you have previously sent email. To use the auto complete feature on Outlook 2007 you have to recover .nk2 files.

Here are the easy setps to add and import .nk2 files on Outlook 2007.

.nk2 files get stored differently on different versions of Windows operating system-based computers.
On a computer running Windows XP, these files are stored in this location:
Drive:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

On computers running Windows Vista or higher versions, you can find these files in this location:
Drive:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook

Then import .nk2 to Microsoft Outlook 2007.
