I recently developed an annoying flickering blue circle next to my cursor whenever Im using a Word 2010
There is no problem in notepad only in word. I have already done a system restore and updated my printer drivers (one recommendation that was given) but cannot get rid of the distracting flickering blue cursor.
Any help to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi there ... I would try changing the default printer .. If that does not help try a Repair through the control panel .This seems to either be a printer problem . Or a template problem .

Change your default printer

Thank you for your reply. As I only have one printer I switched it to the Microsoft XPS Document Writer option give under printers and faxes options. I found that the cursor line now appears normal with a light blue circle (non flickering)

How will this affect my use of my Canon printer when needed?
Again, thanks for your help!

Hi there .. You are most welcome . I will try it on my printer later on today and see exactly what happens .. I think it will just ask you to select a printer . Which i know can be a bit of a pain but better that then the flashing cursor
