Hi All,

So, in the process of our deployment of several Windows 7 machines across our enterprise, we've come across some settings that are registry-based (example: WinRAR defaults and Copy To Folder/Move To Folder registry tweaks) that each have their own Registry files. I have successfully imported these registry files individually and they work as intended. I want to combine them into one master registry file to make our life easier (double-click one file = all settings changed).

My question: do I need to be aware of any pitfalls when it comes to copying & pasting Registry files together? I'm somewhere between novice and intermediate regarding the Registry, and I'd rather not break the reference computer I'm using by crafting a bad Registry file.

Thanks in advance.

Comment each section clearly. Make each section easy to see and isolate.

While this is a simple idea, it may be easier to manage a list of reg files rather than the content of a reg file.

Anyway, write a cmd file that contains each reg file merge on a single line. You can better manage it, each line can be rem'd or activated, and you still have your single launch to apply all mods/tweaks.
