MSE Event Error

MSE icon shows everything is OK but getting this event error.



I had MSE setup for weekly scan and update before scan. I notice that MSE was updating every 36 to 48 hrs and giving this event error although the program said it was up to date and I had real time protection. If this error was correct then why didn't the icon show an error? I did a manual update last night and the error did not show up today. I am assuming that if the update is over 24hrs old the error would come back. I am now running daily scan w/update to see how this works out. I may go back to a weekly scan next week if no more errors to see if the errors come back.

Sometimes, I feel that Event Viewer is made just to scare people. :sarc:
Hi there, what you are thinking is correct. If you update MSE manually, you wont get that event.
