Solved MSE slow bootup after re-install OS and using SSD

ok, well i just rebooted for something else, unrelated stuff, and when the computer came back up there was the RKreport file on the desktop. so here it is

There has to be a program that is lagging the connection .

Did you uncheck everything except for the Microsoft Security

yes, i have unchecked everything except the "microsoft security client" in the startup tab in msconfig. maybe its not a program? i'm out of ideas. i may just live with it, or re-install the OS if i have a free weekend. i'd really rather not do that though because then i have to re-install all my other programs and games again.

Does this only happen when you're connected using Ethernet ? Have you tried connecting via WiFi

i don't have any wifi connectivity on my desktop.

and no, it doesnt happen on my laptop, but i dont know if that matters because it is a completely different computer.

Can you uninstall the program below with RevoUninstaller ?

Choose Advanced mode . Allow it to scan for left over registry keys if found . Click on the Select All button and choose Delete . Once its done deleting the Files click on the Next button allow it it scan for left over folders and files and click on Select All and Delete and click Next when the files are deleted .

There has to be something that is doing that though . I'd recommend a clean install . Hold off the programs . Have you tried to see if your SSD drive has the latest firmware ?

well, good news. i decided to say screw it and just re-install the OS. that did the trick. i reset my mobo bios and then re-installed the OS.

one thing caught my eye when setting my options again in the bios...what is network stack? i don't remember what or if i had changed it before. not sure why i would have, but i left it alone.

UPDATE!

ok well i finally finished re-installing the OS and all my programs fully. i was going to try the asus ai suite II program again because i liked FanXpert. i saved it for last and went program by program making sure the slow network connecing issue didnt happen. everything was great until i installed the ai suite II. i even only installed the turboV evo, probe II, and fanxpert programs within it. thats when the problem started again.

so i un-installed the suite with the add/remove programs from the windows control panel and rebooted the issue still happened. since i had just installed the program, i figured maybe a system restore might work. i did a system restore back to right before i installed the ai suite II program. sure enough, that fixed it. and just to be safe, i took the advice from the forum thread you just linked to in your last post, VistaKing, and googled the AI Suite II Cleaner, downloaded and ran that in safemode like it says to.

no more issues. i will have to find another program to control my fans i guess.

would you know a good program to control case fans with? i'm looking for one where you can sorta set like temperature curves and the rpms go up as the temps go up

Off the top of my head there is SpeedFan .

You could also get a fan Controller for your desktop . If you want to go that way .

yea, i think i'm going to give speedfan a try. i have a fan controller, however the problem is that adds an extra wire running through the computer for every fan i connect to it. that makes cable management a nightmare. plus i got these new fans with pwm connections for the new mobo i got, and got all the same ones to have equal airflow, so i wanted to give the pwms a try. we'll see about speedfan, but i may just go back to the fan controller.

Well I was tempted from almost dau one to reinstall socgry9 but well that is what I would have personally done.

The fan speed control mate there are plenty if bay devices that can do that I have the Scythe fan controller in my machines as I find the software stuff a bit unreliable. Scythe "KAZE MASTER Pro" Fan Controller (heaps of US suppliers in where to buy)
Mine are the slightly older versions we used to get here (see pic) but have had no problems with this brand. However I would say stay clear of the Lamptron brand - had nasty experiences with it.
