MSFT update upsets and unhinges Oracle VM?

I need to run an Oracle VM 4.1.6 on my computers to participate in work on a scientific project. The VM was running fine on two Vista machines and four Win 7 machines.

The two Vista machines are running just fine. But after some MSFT updates the Win 7 machines simply stopped running the VM properly.

Is there any experience with this? Which update?

no experience with that, but if you go to control panel > programs and features > view installed updates, you can uninstall them one by one to try and determine which update is the problem.
