Hello,
I am having problems with AHCI mode on MSI p35 neo2-fr...

This motherboard has:
SATAII controller integrated in ICH9R and Marvell® 88SE6111 chipset
- Supports four SATAII ports and two eSATA ports by ICH9R.
- Supports one SATAII port by 88SE6111.

I will try to explain whats going on. Everything works great when I connect 1 HDD to one SATAII port by 88SE6111. Computer starts, OS boots up.
When I connect HDD to one of SATAII ports by ICH9R, PC starts to act weird. It boots up fine at first try, but if I restart pc or turn it off, it freezes at motherboard boot picture or it gives "overclocking error" or pc goes in restart loop. Same story if I connect SATA DVD Drive (while having hdd on working 88SE6111 port).

BIOS version is outdated a bit, but i'm leaving update as a last resort (i'm afraid to kill mb) ver. is 1.3

My hardware:
1. Hitachi HDS721010CLA332 ATA Device 1TB (Windows 7)
2. SAMSUNG HD501LJ ATA Device 500GB (Mac 10.6)
3. ASUS DVD drive

What did I do wrong?
Thanks in advance
