ok so when i boot up my pc i get a msi installer for a program that i cant get rid of, even if i install the program then uninstall it the next time i boot it still asks me to install it.

the program is xsplit
i dont see it in the startup folder and im thinking maybe a registry key or something is forcing it to try and install upon boot

when i delete the splitmedialabs folder (the maker of the program) in appdata local/roaming.... and programs x64/x86 and reboot they just reappear

tried microsoft fix it and since the program isnt technically installed or uninstalling it doesnt work, ccleaner doesnt fix it either even after checking the registry

im guess revo uninstaller wont work but since im desperate ima try it anyway lol

Edit: tried revo and still no go, although i put it in hunter mode and it shows the problem is msiexec so how would i go about uninstalling msiexec 5.0 and reinstalling?

syswow64 and system32 are both open when the dialog opens upon boot

In CCleaner go to the Startup tab and see if there's an autorun for xsplit.

check scheduled tasks on that tab too. Then see if there's a related service that is prompting this.

I suspect that the real problem was caslused by a scheduled task... you should check the entries in that

If you want an easy and more thorough way to check scheduled tasks try this:

TaskSchedulerView v1.00

Released last week I believe.
