Are you using a laptop with built in cam or desktop with cam on top like mine?

You can also try downloading SKYPE(free) and set up an account where you can see and talk to whoever.
Or someone will come along and help you out but you system specs are limited so I am out of here.:)

I have the exact same problem. I just installed windows 7 but on msn my webcam no longer works. I can't invite a friend to view webcam or view a friend's webcam. It does not work on Skype either.

Cant just send my webcam

Ive been using MSN live messenger for years now and there has always been two options in using the webcam. One is to initiate a video call that sends and receives the camera from both parties and also sends voice. The other option, that causes less lag, is the option to just send my webcam alone. no voice and no asking the other person to see their cam. I have been using a Toshiba laptop with a built in webcam on Windows Vista with MSN version 9. I recently got a new laptop, an Acer, with a Crystal Eye cam and windows 7 and now the only option for both the updated version of MSN messenger and the older version 9 is video call only. So.. how do we fix this? Do I need to scrap Windows and go back to vista?
