Msn Messenger Update

Hello, i bought a laptop that was already on the new windows 7. MSN always pops up when i turn it on but when i try to sign in it will say to me that i need to install a newer version to continue. So i click yes. this never works and always asks me to visit the website.

If i click download on the website it gets stuck with 16 secs to go and this is just the set up i am downloading. I eventually managed to get to the installer at one point but it got stuck at 30 % all the time. Now i have looked through all help forums and nobody seems to have this exact issue. Please could someone help!:shock:

Welcome

First make a system restore point in case things do not go as planned.

Then

Use this to uninstall
Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs, Solve uninstall problems

Then download and use this
CCleaner - Home


Finally install the new Messenger.

It is my opinion that the old messneger is causing the problem. All traces must be gone before you reinstall.
