Hi, just wondering if MSN Plus is legit? I remember I used this back in the day and it had some sort of virus or spyware?

So is it clear from spyware, virus?

Who makes MSN Plus? Is it the same people who make WLM?

Messenger Plus! by Patchou is bundled with adware. It can be downloaded without the "Sponsor Software"

Note: Sponsor Software = C2Media\LOP (parasite)

This is not a Microsoft or MSN product! Be aware that any update to "Messenger Plus" will cause the program to prompt you to install the "Sponsor Software".

Thanks for the info, I knew it came with something.

So you're saying that if MSN Plus updates, it will auto install the "sponsor adware"?

I've never used it, but that's what it says. I do know that Adware:LOP is no fun to have on your machine. It adds it's own toolbar and search button to IE.

I think there is always the choice of refusing to support the sponsor using a tickbox while installing if I'm not mistaken.

Never trusted MSN Plus. I always used Stuff Plug but there is no version for WLM2009.

Any other I can use to use more than 1 MSN?

Ive been using this for years and not had a problem with it. You can untick all the unwanted toolbars etc. I wouldnt go around calling it a parasite.

I think A-Patch is one of the best. Enables you to use more than one MSN, take off unecessary toolbars in MSN, ADs, transfer more than 4 files at once..etc. You can google A-Patch MSN.

A-patch is not the same thing as msn plus. A-patch is mainly aimed at removing the annoying ads.
