Mozilla has started a new project to make Firefox split in several processes at a time: one running the main user interface (chrome), and another or several others running the web content in each tab. Like Chrome or Internet Explorer 8 which have implemented this behavior to some degree, the main benefit would be the increase of stability: a single tab crash would not take down the whole session with it, as well as performance improvements in multiprocessor systems that are progressively becoming the norm.

and what's multi-process support?

Whomever wrote that article has very limited Computer Experience...Firefox is not getting Multi-core support, its going to support multiple process's running from one main process like IE8 and Chrome use now ;)

and what's multi-process support?

"multiple process's all running from one main process" ;)

I wonder when this will be implemented in the Shiretoko Nightlies...it really does get annoying that one tab crashing brings the whole browser down.

Now if we could just get better add on support for the x64 alpha/beta versions out there. :D

Now if we could just get better add on support for the x64 alpha/beta versions out there. :D

If a specific add-on found on the Add-ons site says your unable to install a plugin because it requires xx browser version then just click "Show All Versions" on that plugin page, it will then bypass the Browser version check and allow you to download then install that plugin ;)

If Firefox/Shiretoko still thinks that plugin is not compatible after you've downloaded and tried installing the plugin then you can override 99% of all "Not compatible" plugins using the "Nightly Tester Tools" addon ;) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6543

x64 builds of Firefox/Shiretoko can also use the Nightly Tester Tools addon to install 99% of all currently available 32bit plugins ;)

WOW, That's good news, with this Firefox will work better, and the 3.5, it's still a Beta, but is really good! =)

im looking farther than that...
im looking at the minefield nightlies (3.6 pre)....
the only thing stopping me now is how integrated all my passwords are to digitalpersona (i really have strong passwords..:p)
and the convience is really dettering me from fulling using the minefield nightlies...:(:(
i have gone the route of fingerfox but that is just causes more time and having to wait for the window to display and having to then reinsert my password (as this recognized differently from the actual addon...:sarc:)
same thing from stopping from using the x64 version....
its not that they wont install but that they are not usable...
i might as well now look at the source code and see of a way to do it..;)
