Please read iB::Topic::Multiboot DVD with Windows 7 and XP. It will give you an idea on how to go about making a DVD with Windows XP and Windows 7 on it. Then perhaps the same way you could extend it to include the other stuff.

I hope this is of help to you.

Dude i want to make my own multiboot DVD that i can add my selected elements for booting

It can be complicated and I'm not sure you will get everything working on one DVD due to folder requirements. I know you can get Hiren's, UBCD, Windows 7, Linux and I'm pretty sure Windows XP on a single DVD. One other thing you have to consider is how many can actually fit on a DVD.

I created one with Hiren's, UBCD, Linux (Ubuntu), a program that uses XP's boot sector (ntldr) and four programs that use WinPE. It took me a while to get a couple of things working the way I wanted to do it and to get my head around some of the things in GRUB4DOS as this was my first experience with it, but I did manage in the end.

I'm not very good at explaining this type of stuff but I can tell you Hiren's and UBCD use GRUB4DOS for their boot menu and from that it's possible to launch Windows 7/Vista/XP boot sectors, ISO files and a couple of other bootsectors and files.

Someone else here may provide step by step help but I would suggest searching Google about doing these kind of things with GRUB4DOS as there is a few pages with help already out there, you just have to piece it all together.

Good luck.

Oh yer, I believe that Easyboot program can create something like you want and it should be less complicated.

Maybe check that out first and check the Easyboot forum not just that one page. It has more than just multiboot Windows.

Did you actually read these pages?

YUMI - Looks limited
It can be used to create a Multiboot USB Flash Drive containing multiple operating systems, antivirus utilities, disc cloning, diagnostic tools, and more.
XBOOT
used to create a Live Multiboot USB or even a Multiboot ISO file that can then be burnt to a CD/DVD. XBOOT supports many Linux Distributions and Utilities
These 2 programs and Easyboot take the hard work out of doing things. I not sure if they'll do you what you want exactly but I'd say their worth a try. Only thing I don't like is loading from ISO files as I believe this is slower than just the files, but I'm not 100% sure, but it should prevent any file/folder conflicts.

YUMI seems limited on what it can support Natively as it unpacks the ISOs and stores the contents in a folder structure of its own. You can however also add whatever extra ISOs you want and it uses GRUB to boot them.

kado897 makes a good point, I should take a little more time reading.

YUMI uses syslinux to boot extracted distributions stored on the USB device, and reverts to using grub to Boot Multiple ISO files from USB, if necessary.
Known Issues:
Windows XP Installer ISO will not work
- Ahh but, extracted distributions. Can it handle software it doesn't support natively or do you have know what type of boot sector you want to use?

- Reverts to using grub. Sounds like it only uses this for ISO files, but is that a problem? Maybe you could convert the lot to Grub.

- USB device. But you want DVD, can you do this? (I believe you can)

- Windows XP Installer ISO will not work. Probably because there using USB. I think Grub can boot it as a extracted distribution from a DVD.

From reading this you would at least try it. (I would try Easyboot first as I see it mentioned alot)

You can however also add whatever extra ISOs you want and it uses GRUB to boot them.
Not sure how as I haven't use it, but I believe you.

I have added a windows repair disk and a Macrium WinPE recovery disk to mine. I don't think you can use a DVD instead of a USB. I can't find any option to do that. I have found that booting from USB is not only faster but is more certain to work than DVD. Not only that a DVD is limited to 4GB whereas you can get much larger USB sticks for a reasonable price these days.

CreativeSign you've been provided links & references where you can find the information on how to make a custom boot able operating system DVD along with another software included.

Here's what I'd like to share about Custom Multi-Boot Operating System Installation Tutorial

You've to do a research on your own that suits your need so don't rely on step by step information, you'll learn strongly by your own research.

Good Luck!

I think we understand what you want Creative Sign. I have two problems with this

1. I don't know how to create a boot menu that is mouse accessible.
2. I very much doubt if you would get all those on a DVD. Windows 7 installer is 3GB alone, Hirens is another 0.4GB and a standard DVD is limited to just over 4GB.

I wouldn't worry about a mouse.

Grub can boot everything you want. Can have a background Image. Can press a number key on the keyboard to select the corresponding boot entry. Can change text colors.

My Disk.
Main menu (Grub)
- Boot From Hard Drive (Windows Vista/7/2008 or Windows Xp)
- Boot Windows XP (NTLDR) from Hard Drive
- Boot Windows Vista/7 (BOOTMGR) from Hard Drive
- WinPE Tools (boots Win7/Vista boot loader)
--- WinPE based programs
--- Could boot Win7/Vista installer

- Boot NTLDR based program (could be WinXP installer)
- Load a 2nd Win7/Vista boot loader
--- Need a hex edit to get 2 Win7/Vista boot loaders on the same disk working, but I want these programs under a seperate entry from the WinPE Tools.

- Hirens Boot CD (Another Grub menu)
--- Hiren's Boot menu
--- Added back to Main Menu

- Ultimate Boot CD (Another Grub menu)
--- Ultimate Boot CD menu
--- Added back to Main Menu

- Ubuntu (Another Grub menu)
--- Try Ubuntu without installing
--- Install Ubuntu
--- Back to Main Menu

To get 2 Win7/Vista boot loaders on the same disk working I used a program to do it called zbootmgr.exe in multiwin9.zip found here 02 - How to create a USB drive that will install one of many choices of Windows OS's (Vista/Win7/Server 2008/XP) - PLEASE NOTE: This site is has OLD/OUTDATED info - now moved to www.RMPrepUSB.com

Another page I used for reference Grub4dos Guide - Contents

I done mine manually without the aid of 3rd party sofware like Easyboot and it was a challenge, all I can say is GOOGLE, GOOGLE and more GOOGLE.

To me it looks like if OP wants to create a not-so-kosher DVD, with all versions of Windows plus additional third party software. I'm wondering why nobody seems to be interested in licence issues?

Might be the lack of my education or my too low IQ but always I see these threads I can not help thinking about OS and software licences. Judging by another thread of this same OP (thread seems to be removed now) he wants to create a DVD for distribution.

I also read the thread with licensing issues in mind but understand they come into play only if he plans to distribute the AIO DVD with copyrighted tools on it. I believe one can construct your own bootable AIO installer with your own licensed tools on it without conflict.

Are you an installer wanting all of your installers on one bootable disk? You could be a lot more explicit and engage in more of a dialogue so we understand you more clearly. You sound like you're placing an order at drive-through instead of asking for very advanced help.

What I use is a 16gb flash stick which has been formatted using Universal USB Installer with Win7 in the dropdown menu. This extracts the seven Win7 installation folders to the root but more importantly bootsects the stick so it can be used to boot any nt60 installer including Vista/Win7 32- and 64-bit. I then extract the others into folders on the stick with each having its ei.cfg file deleted from Sources so it's all-versions. When I want to install I spill its files into the root; when not installing Windows I keep them swept into their folder.

I can then load in all other tools, utilities, programs that are commonly used.. Since it's for my own use there are no licensing issues. I often use Acronis True Image for which I have a license, but it and XP are not themselves bootable from the same stick so I use disk. It would be nice to have XP or Acronis boot from the same stick but would take more time working it out than it does to burn a disk or throw one in my backpack.
