"multiboot" with one OS, boot partitions

Hey, I spent the last three days trying to repartition my Windows 7 drive. I have a HP Pavillion Laptop that I am going to take to college. Before I go, I want to partition my drive to create two PCs. The C: drive will be a gaming PC which will inevitably get full of bloatware and run slow. I need the B: drive (partition) to have as little of the RAM as possible tied up in background applications. I've tried to install Windows 7 on both partitions, but it won't install twice on the same physical disc. Can I just choose which partition I want to use on startup, and would that keep my RAM free when I need it? If I'm trying something totally wrong, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks,

Better to get a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 following the best practices we've learned here since before WIn7 release which have helped countless thousands of users.

If you'll stick with these methods for install and maintaining your OS you'll not have to worry about conceding one half of your laptop to bloatware, 3rd party corruption, etc. Just keep it lean and clean.

By keeping a Clean Boot as we prescribe in the reinstall tutorial or the steps to Clean Up Factory Bloatware on your current install, the freeloaders which can slow gaming or cause issues won't be let in to begin with.

According to the Windows EULA (End User License Agreement) a Windows 7 activation key is only legally available for 1 activation to a single PC at any one time, it is not legally possible to activate 2 instances of the same activation key, if you persist the key may be black-listed by MS and become useless to activate an OS at all.
