It is a BETA BIOS.

BETAs are not for sue, but for testing how the advancement is catching up.

Your initial issue was Norton, but you did some undue thing which is difficult to sort out.

"BETA describes a new version that is reliable yet may not include all the features of the final product." I read this and thought it would be stable, what would you recommend I do?

When it is a stable release, it is not a BETA.

You can try to flash it bask to FD. Then try a clean reinstall without norton. See how it goes.

It would be better to take the assistance of a technician to do a BIOS backflash. The process is high risky, it may brick the board.

I understand what a beta is, however that is exactly what gigabytes website says so I am lead to believe it is stable, I will post back if/when I encounter any more errors.

In software, BETA is the opposite word of stable.

Ok since last post I have had another 2 bluescreens, one of them being the dreaded system service exception :(, you mentioned checking the MB and DIMM slots, should I do that now, or go back to a system restore before norton and revert to the old bios?

The crash dumps are pointing to anything and everything, and every one is different.

If RAM is free from errors as the camera snap shows, then it is a motherboard issue, the BETA BIOS may contribute to it upto a big extent, IMHO.

Though all the BSODs are different form each other, two things are common there. Display and storage are failing allover.
And one of these two are a rogue one.
Code:

Go to GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM3+ - GA-990XA-UD3 (rev. 1.x) and update the following drivers.

  • AMD Chipset Driver (include chipset \ sata raid driver)
  • Etron USB 3.0 Driver
Also, Download Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 14.0.0.0 and NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce Game Ready Driver WHQL ... save them on your desktop. Disconnect the internet.
Now run DDU to uninstall the installed display driver. When done, uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features, manually.

  • 3D Vision Control Driver
  • 3D Vision Driver
  • Graphics Driver
  • HD Audio Driver
  • PhysX
  • nvidia Update
  • GeForce Experience
Then install the downloaded display driver, not express, but custom install. Uncheck everything other than Display Driver and PhysX. Check a clean install.
Accept all the offered restarts in the process.

Then see how it goes.

If still the haphazard BSODs continue to occur, we have to concentrate on the BIOS thing only.

Lol ... dont be happy so quickly. Wait for at least a week. If it runs stable for at least that long, you may call it as solved.

The chipset and USB3 drivers are OK in motherboard's site. For the LAN driver, go to Realtek ..... get teh second one form the list, that is the Win7 and Server 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program .
