Multiple BSOD - Caused by driver ntoskrnl.exe..please help

Dear All,

I am using Toshiba Satellite L675d-S7016 Home premium x64 bit SP1 laptop for my routine use. On 27thAug i had my first BSOD -0x000000f4. I was working on Andorid ROM which i downloaded for my mobile. After completing the download, i went out for an hour or so with my mobile connected with my laptop. After coming back i saw blue screen which mentioned about this error. Its now occurring every time i start up my laptop.
I found out the error which is caused by driver - ntoskrnl.exe (Blue screen viewer)
I went into safe mode, changed up the start up services & chose load with basic drives & it started again normally. Moment i load it with full drivers, it shows again the same bsod error.

I did Sfc/scannow many times- no abnormalities
i did run memory diagonistic tool (f8) many time - no abnormalities
i am using McAfee antivirus without any virus present

Firstly I strongly suggest you :ar: Back up your data

Post a screenshot of your hard drive using :ar: Crystal Disk Info

Run chkdsk in an elevated command prompt in order to check for
file system errors and bad sectors on your HDD:

• Click on Start>Type in search cmd
• Right click cmd and Run as Administrator
• At the command prompt please type: chkdsk /f/r
  (There is a space between chkdsk and /f/r)

hello,

Firstly, i have taken up the backup.

i did chkdsk (system file), it showed me 4kb in bad sector. If you can tell me how to show the result, i ll provide it to you.

I couldn't find any diagnostic tools for HDD @ toshiba's website instead toshiba has already provided utilities software in my laptop like HDD SSD alert, diagnostic tools, Pc health. (screenshot attached).

While doing chdsk for E Drive (BSOD occurred - Data Kernel page something error) same as u mentioned previously

Is this diagnostic fine or should i use seagate or any other if you can provide me the links?

Hi,

Yes run Seagate Tools and test the Hard drives: :ar: SeaTools | Seagate

Also remove: MagicISO SCSI host controller

Scan the system for possible virus infection:

Hi NS,

I did remove ISO image & other related app.

For Virus scan, i did kaspersky scan - no abnormalities
McAfee Antivirus - No Virus
Malware byte anti malware - No virus detected

For Sea Tools for windows, it doesn't detect my Hard drive (screenshot attached). I even downloaded .NET framework v4.0 for it to run but it doesnt detect. any help

Also would like to tell you, while i am working on my lappy with limited loaded driver, i enabled few services manually & wifi is connected without any problem.. i got twice BSOD few days back when i tried to run broadband or donggle internet, it happened when i manually started "Remote access connection manager".

May be this info will be helpful to you some or the other way

Also i didn't got any BSOD today with limited drivers & services on.

Your latest logs show Mcafee as causing issues, and you seem to be running two Anti Viruses
at the same time, which can cause conflicts:

Please remove Mcafee: :ar: McAfee Removal Tool - McAfee Uninstaller
You have MSE installed so use that as your AV.

Your msinfo32 file show MagicISO and MagicDisc still installed?


Can the Toshiba HDD test repair the "bads" (Im assuming that is bad blocks?)?

MagicISO and MagicDisc has been uninstalled yesterday itself.

Unfortunately, Toshiba doesnt have any tools to repair the disk bad blocks. Can you help me in that i ll be grateful to you

hey NS55,

After 2 days of testing & solutions provided by you i guess made it possible to repair my BSOD, didn't got any BSOD in last 2 days.

Thank you very much for your time & support really you helped it & saved my few bugs.

I haven't repaired 4kb of bad sector, i jus defragmented the disk & hope this has ignored the bad blocks. Also i still have to test while using a broadband or donggle connection because last few time i got this bsod because of this.

If i get it again, i ll trouble you again
