Hello, I am very glad to have found this forum.

I have been having multiples BSOD this past month. I am hopefull that you will be able to help me get my laptop back! I read many posts but I need your help.

I did a memtest86 (nine pass) and it is OK. I am running Driver Verifier.

The drivers that WhoCrashed tells me are the problems are:
ntoskrnl.exe code 4A
volsnap.sys code 1000007E
flxhcic.sys code D1 (Fresco Logic USB3 driver, supposed to be ok, checked on Asus website).

Since I am doing Driver Verifier I had:
bdfwfpf.sys code C9 (Bitdefender)
hidclass.sys code C9
swdumon.sys code C4 (slim driver, uninstaled)

Here is my latest SFDT file View attachment 316472

Any ideas are welcome!

Your Fresco Logic xHCI (USB3) Device Driver, you are saying "it is ok" but it's causing issues.
Now it looks like you need it so try updating it here.

FRESCO LOGIC INC.===Leap into SuperSpeed===

It is outdated so an update should fix that.

Can you remove Bitdefender and install Microsoft Security Essentials as it's never been known to cause BSODs, I also recommend installing Malwarebytes.

   Warning
Make sure you don't activate the free trial

The HIDCLASS.SYS driver is a USB driver, particularly mouse drivers.
You should update that mouse driver so I think we can dismiss that one for now.

Let us know the results.

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.

I did what you proposed and So far, so good!

I uninstalled Bitdefender (Telus Securweb utilities, my supplier), and had a problem with revo uninstaller so it took me some time, Then I installed MSE and reinstalled Malwarebytes because I am not sure if I tikked the enable free trial the last time. I did a scan (from both) and no detection.

I also updated the Fresco Logic driver. I taugh that it was ok because that's the one in the dowload section for my laptop (Asus N73SV)just underé

When I checked the Fresco Logic support page (before my first post, I only read the first sentence: "We recommend to get specific USB drivers from vendors / anufacturers of your product". And went back to the Asus page. All the drivers on this page date from 2010-2011.

I tried Slimdriver and Driver Booster (Iobit) to update the other drivers. Is there a better driver updater I could use?

What should I do now? Do I let driver verifier run?

Thanks again.
