Hello,

I have had a computer for over two years now, running with minimal issues.

I completed a windows auto-update and suddenly now, im getting BSOD all over the place. I think its because the new update has made all my drivers conflict so I thought i had could resolve the issue by updating some drivers, but i tried skype the other day and when trying to connect a call i got a BSOD, they have continued with normal use of the computer without any trigger as far as i can see.

Im not 100% savy with what i need to do to resolve this, or what i need to run to diagnose the problem so i thought i'd turn to the forums for help.

I've followed the instructions for BSOD and attached and ran the SF diag tool and attached the zipped folder.

Your help would be much appreciated.

It appears that you have enabled Driver Verifier, and it catches Logitech QuickCam Driver as a failing one.

I've updated the drivers for the webcam when taking the original steps. i tried again but it still blue screens as soon as the webcam tries to initiate.

i just dont understand, it has been working perfectly for 2 years, why would it start to cause a problem now?
is it a position where i need to buy a new webcam?

Is there another diagnostic i can run?

also, in the original steps it was suggested i take a screen shot. but of what?

Everything has a life span.
Maintenance increases the life span, but you said you updated the driver .... I see the update is not an update. So, you have to accept that a good 2 years are over.

I am not aware of.

Of your hardware performance.

New webcam purchased, and no problems on install or in use. no BSOD since. seems like most things have resolved!

Thanks everyone for their help.

Situation just annoys me because everything was working fine, and then a conflict arises when your supposed to be making your system better!.

anyone want an old webcam?
