Multiple BSODs

I just put together a new computer and i have been getting a few BSOD, some when watching youtube, some when changing video details in games. Some which happens when i click something. I can play games with no problems.

Usual causes: Kernel mode driver, System Service, BIOS, Windows, Virus scanner, Backup tool, compatibility
STOP 0x0000001A: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

Usual causes: Device driver, memory, kernel

Memory corruption was blamed in some dmp file. please download third party called memtestx86, burn it to CD using iso recorder: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/W7.htm and let it run for at least 7 passes.

USBport.sys was blamed in one of the dmp file. I will give you generic tip to solve that. Please go to device manager, under usb list, uninstall every devices, then restart your machine.

Finally, run SFC system files check: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

At this point, remove all of your RAM sticks but one. Run memtest on that stick for seven passes. If no errors are reported, place that stick in another slot and again run memtest. Repeat until you have tested that stick in each slot. Remove it and test the next stick in the same manner.

What you are doing by this is testing each stick individually to find which stick is bad and you are also testing your RAM slots for a bad slot.

These don't give us much specific information. I will dig a little deeper and edit this post. Be back in a few minutes.

I see you are running ESet NOD on your system. For the purposes of troubleshooting, I suggest you uninstall it using this removal tool >Info > Tool I recommend that you install MSE for your antivirus and make sure Windows Firewall is turned on.

Many third party anti-malware programs, especially suites, can cause conflicts and BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. MSE, a Microsoft product, will not cause conflicts. We just need to eliminate ESet as a cause. You can reinstall ESet after you get your system running smoothly although I recommend staying with MSE.

I also find the following outdated drivers on your system:

Outdated drivers can be a cause of BSOD's. I suggest you update these drivers to eliminate them as potential conflicts. Go to the manufactures sites and search for updated drivers. Download these and install them.

gdrv.sys - gdrv.sys is a component of Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced. Update this driver or uninstall the software. Personally, I would recommend uninstalling the software and use Windows' built in energy saving program.

LHidFilt.Sys and LUsbFilt.Sys - both of these are Logitech mouse drivers. See if you can update both of these. Downloads

The energy saver is a part of Easy tune which i haventh installed, so i installed it and removed it. The driver was updated trough that but wasnt deleted after i uninstalled ET again. Dunno if that was the right way to do this but i couldnt find that program anywhere on my computer.

Will remove eset and test the memory sticks one at the time in each slot. Thanks alot, I let you know what happens.

I don't think you need that gdrv.sys. I googled it and I even got a balance equation "gdrv.sys=BSODs" lol...
I even heard that some people got it by Easytune6, however, I doubt it though coz I tried to install it on my computer and I dont get gdrv.sys at all. So easy fix should be reaname the file gdrv.sys-->gdrv.bak for example

Bad memory can cause random BSOD's; but other things can also corrupt memory when the RAM itself is not bad - for example obsolete drivers, poorly written software, third party ant-malware programs, etc. That is why we have to check things individually and do our best to eliminate all potential conflicts. Most dump analyses are not cut and dried with the dump pointing to the an exact cause. Thus, a lot of try this and try that is involved.

I will look at the latest BSOD.

This dump is another stop error code A. It does not tell us much. It blames win32k.sys.Win32k.sys is a Windows system core file and is very unlikely to be the cause. It just gets blamed when the dump doesn't pinpoint an exact cause.

Usual causes: Kernel mode driver, System Service, BIOS, Windows, Virus scanner, Backup tool, compatibility

I notice this stop error occurred after you updated your mouse drivers. However, the outdated gdrv.sys driver was still on your system as was ESet.

Just a matter of thought. What is your cpu temperature after the crash? To check this after the crash the system will restart enter bios and check the cpu temperature. As you said.. the system can run games for hours.. that's because they rely heavily on the GPU and not the CPU.. Now Steam is a CPU hog.. so if your CPU temperature is relatively low then I would have to say move onto your ram temperature.

Additional Notes:
Turn off Hardware Acceleration when viewing youtube videos. The quickest method is to right click the video and uncheck Enable hardware acceleration. This way we can see if it is the graphics card getting "hung-up" where windows can not recover and forcing a BSOD. Also, make sure your flash is up-to-date.

David has a valid point. Excessive heat can cause BSOD's. You can download Speedfan and check your temperatures during heavy usage.

Never seen my CPU temps go above 40C. Downloaded speedfan and it shows even lower temps.

Ive tested my memory one at the time. Slot 1 and 3 doesnt seem to work at all, they are the spots for the third and fourth stick so maybe thats why.

Memory one gives 1 error in slot 2 and no errors in slot 4.
Memory two gives no error in slot 2.

Anyway, since im stupid and paid for eset its a pain to remove it.
Basically i switched place of my 2 memory sticks. If i get another BSOD i remove it with the tool. Im in such regret paying for ESET. I barely can install games while its active. Files missing...

Gdrv.sys has been renamed to Gdrv.bak.'

I hope i see no more BSODs, i rather have bad memory than a bad motherboard

I dont understand how switching position on my memory can make things more stable? I mean its the same memory sticks. And why would i get a memory error with one of them and not the other in the same slot?
