Steps 1-3 and 5-7 of http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html#post1839164 will help you get installation media, backup any important files (just in case), and obtain your license keys for software (just in case) and the Windows license key (you will need this key).


Without the .dmp files, it is difficult to provide more troubleshooting, and your Windows installation appears to be corrupted and preventing those from being generated.

Just had another blue screen with no dump. 7E. This is insane, even if I reformat, i'll still have the same issues. I've reformatted in the past several, several times.

If you believe a reformat will not help, then this is likely a driver issue or a hardware compatibility/broken hardware issue. I noticed we have not run Verifier since you removed DAEMON Tools. That would be a good step. You do not seem to be getting the 0x124 BugCheck now, so the RAM steps probably resolved that.

Let's run Verifier to see what it turns up:

• To run Driver Verifier, do the following:
  
  a. Backup your system and user files
  b. Create a system restore point
  c. If you do not have a Windows 7 DVD, Create a system repair disc
  d. In Windows 7:

  • Click the Start Menu
  • Type verifier in Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
  • Right click verifier and click Run as administrator
  • Put a tick in Create custom settings (for code developers) and click next
  • Put a tick in Select individual settings from a full list and click next
  • Set up the individual settings as in the image and click next

  • Put a tick in Select driver names from a list
  • Put a tick next to all non-Microsoft drivers.
  • Click Finish.
  • Restart your computer.

  
  If Windows cannot start in normal mode with driver verifier running, start in safe mode. If it cannot start in safe mode or normal mode, restore the system restore point using http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html OPTION TWO.
  
  If you are unable to start Windows with all drivers being verified or if the blue screen crashes fail to create .dmp files, run them in groups of 5 or 10 until you find a group that causes blue screen crashes and stores the blue screen .dmp files.​
  The idea with Verifier is to cause the system to crash, so do the things you normally do that cause crashes. After you have a few crashes, upload the crash reports for us to take a look and try to find patterns.
  
  When you are ready to disable Verifier: Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click Command Prompt -> Run as administrator -> Type the following command and then Enter:
  verifier /reset​
  -> Restart your computer.

A very interesting thing happened.

I went away for vacation, sorry about the late response.

I blue screened, with a dump, right before I left the morning of vacation, 1E.

I had thought about it for a long time, and was curious if the ram could really be the issue, so I traded with my ex's ram which is on the mobo's recommended list. 6Gb kingston 1600.

Computer started up, and froze about 15 minutes in, ignoring all commands. I forced a shut down, restarted. Happened again a half hour in. Forced another restart, and now the computer will not load windows. it also had blue screen error 0x0DA before I finally shut it down. I went in to BIOS, and I saw no option to switch this stuff to unganged, I'm very frustrated.

He has had 0 issues with my ram, despite it being made for intel, and has tried to stress it out. I'm about to trade it back to see if my computer will start with the original RAM back in

So I have a dump ready and made, but I can't get in to my computer now.

What processor does he have? Your RAM may work fine with a newer AMD processor. The problem is that yours does not support 1600 RAM: AMD Phenom

His processor is the exact same as mine, as is motherboard and psu. The only difference is that he can unlock his 4 cores and I cannot without blue screen issues.

His RAM was also on the recommended list from Asus. We *just* switched the RAM's back, and now my computer starts up. This is beyond weird. I'm going to send in my CPU since it did fail that Prime95 test. I still want it looked at (cheap to ship and all), and in the mean time I'll buy new RAM and sell this. I'll probably do a fresh reformat too, just in case for drivers and stuff.

Suggestions?

It may be that running the RAM you had was overtaxing the IMU on the processor. I've seen this happen before with AMD Phenom IIs running 1600 RAM; the processor can start to fail due to damage caused to the IMU running the faster speed RAM. Let us know if the new processor resolves the problems.

Could you recommend RAM that would work? Like a 1333 set or should I get AMD 1600? Starting to stress the comp, hoping for a blue screen.

PC3 10600 DDR3 1333 would work for your system. Anything less than DDR3 1333 will also work, i.e. DDR3 1066.

PC2-8500 (DDR2-1066); PC2-6400 (DDR2-800), PC2-5300 (DDR2-667), PC2-4200 (DDR2-533) or PC2-3200 (DDR2-400) SDRAM unbuffered DIMMs – AM2+ will also work.

OK, update for you guys. CPU has not been RMA'ed yet, but I got new AMD RAM. 8Gb DDR3 (2x 4Gb) PC3-10600 1333 MHz, CL-8, 1.5V

Since this just came in, and I have about 2 weeks before school starts, I wanted to know if there's anything I need to do in BIOS. I'm going to run the Prime95 test again and see what comes out of it. Since my warranty for the processor is up in October, I want to RMA it if need be.

I'm seriously hoping it's the RAM. After I re-exchanged RAM (soon after my last post) I had one blue screen. During a video game, the computer made the lines as it was blue screening, and simply stopped. I had not played games since. This is my latest post with the newest AMD ram.

I have another dump file from today. Was playing Skyrim, and then this happened. Would really appreciate someone getting to me on what all these dumps mean and if I have to send in my CPU.

Also, apparently when I respond from my iPhone my user comes up as RedsennaCy. Same person.
