Multiple Different BSODs Custom PC

Thanks for the logs Justin, that's all there should be is two.

I appreciate the other info as well.

I understand about the freezing and getting screenshots, but they help when you can.

Your previous dump from earlier wasn't blaming any specific driver, but another analyst noticed that the process in memory when it happened was "GameOverlayUI" and suggested the rootkit scan.

Are you using Windows defender (MSE) in windows 8 for your AV?

As for the install, I don't think that has anything to do with your issues.

The last dump you uploaded does point to your video driver,

Code:
Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\nvlddmkm.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvlddmkm.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for nvlddmkm.sys
 nvlddmkm+0xd115a

Code:
DEFAULT_BUCKET_ID: VERIFIER_ENABLED_VISTA_MINIDUMP

BUGCHECK_STR: 0x3B

PROCESS_NAME: iexplore.exe

Now I see you have a couple more...

The video driver should have no issues since it was installed with the bulk of Windows Update, it was installed WITH Windows Update.
As for my AV I do believe one of the features of Win8 was that Microsoft Security Essentials was formally added in to Windows Firewall and Defender. So I'm running those as well.

Edit: I have the latest WHQL certified driver 335.23 as well.

Go ahead and put that AV in your specs instead of NONE.

If I'm gonna stick around, then I'll post the new BSOD that happened when I tried to restart to disable Verifier.
My computer also decided to do an update (1 out of 1) which took about 20 minutes, then it blue screened, restarted itself, apparently finished the update, then went to the Win8 start menu.

You can do want you want Justin, you need to realize that looking through all the info and reading dumps isn't some real quick operation.

There's been quite a few people behind the scenes helping as well. Just give it a while for the process to unfold, most of the same people over there are over as well.

That last one is pointing to the network driver too.

I have seen random BSOD's from 2 hardware sources as well. Usually when it's gaming related the Vid card is overheating. either the user Overclocked the vid card, Dirt and debris, cheap insufficient PSU. Second is mem errors do to partial chip failure so that the blue screen happens to different functions accessing that particular chip on one of the sticks.

Hi Svyn.

As I have seen, you have completed all the possible hardware tests.

Try to update the BIOS to version F8 from GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1150 - GA-Z87X-D3H (rev. 1.x)

And one more thing is alos to notice .... Does it BSOD in games only? If so ... are all those games modded? What is happening with an unaltered game?

@mohavepc
I've done quite a few hardware tests on these parts, I've ran Furmark twice both for 30 minutes and the temps leveled out at 80-82 with the fan pumping at 69%. I've also ran background temp checkers like OpenHardwareMonitor and found that the GPU will also hover around the same area.
I've ran memtest probably around 6 times, the last time I ran it I did it for 27 consecutive passes, no errors.
I also have no overclocked my GPU, it is the superclocked edition so it came that way in the box, though it has 2 fans on the GPU instead of the normal GTX770 that only has 1.

@ICit2lol
So running as classic shell only restores the start menu button? If that's the case then I don't necessarily need it, I work around with 8.1 pretty good since I have Windows 8 on my laptop.

@Arc
I attempted to update the BIOS version only to get the error from the screenshot attached, I tried running as admin, clicking it normally, and clicking both the EXE and BATCH file, no avail.
- The computer (from memory) has BSOD in YouTube both full-screen and non-full-screened,
- BSOD a lot in Skyrim (was heavily modded, and it was the ONLY game I modded),
- It has BSOD on start-up a couple times yesterday,
- Blue screened while typing a document in Wordpad,
- Blue screened in the game Outlast when the game tried to auto-save itself (Did this a few times),
- BSOD in Counter Strike: Global Offensive while connecting to a multiplayer match (loading up the map from Valve servers),
- BSOD while watching a TV show from another site (Not YouTube site or video player), also full-screen

I never got the Graphics Display Crashes mentioned earlier by Thedoctor during an other game except Skyrim, I think I had approximately 80-85 installed and active mods, I also followed all guides to installing and setting the mods properly so there wouldn't be issues except for virtual memory running out and making the game crash to desktop.
Unmodded games will usually BSOD at random or during connection to someone/something.

Edit: I have a 620watt PSU which was recommended by experts on the newegg.ca forums (they gave me the entire PC set-up) I only took out the hard drive they game me since it wasn't in stock and bought a different one. There is also no dirt/dust in the PC, every hole in the case is covered with mesh to prevent anything from getting in, I also put the PC together using latex gloves to prevent oils from getting on the parts.
I will download OpenHardwareMonitor again and watch my GPU temps during gaming again.

GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1150 - GA-Z87X-D3H (rev. 1.x)

Go to Supports and Downloads > Utilities. Get @BIOS there. Use it to update the BIOS.

The issue that you are explaining is display related.

- BSOD in Counter Strike: Global Offensive while connecting to a multiplayer match (loading up the map from Valve servers),
- BSOD while watching a TV show from another site (Not YouTube site or video player), also full-screen
It may be the GPU itself, or the display driver.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark
I know that you have done it earlier. But do it one more time.

And unfortunately I dont know any driver version that works good with GTX 770. You may try the drivers on a trial and error basis:

  • 320.49 WHQL
  • 327.23 WHQL
  • 331.58 WHWL
  • 331.65 WHQL
  • 331.82 WHQL
  • 332.21 WHQL
  • Any driver released later
Get them from Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

Do a clean install on all of them. Uninstall the previously installed driver first.
Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features
    • 3D Vision Control Driver
    • 3D Vision Driver
    • Graphics Driver
    • HD Audio Driver
    • PhysX
    • nvidia Update
    • Geforce Experience
(Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
  • Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
  • Download the target WHQL. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:

Lengthy process, but the only stable version of nvidia is 314.22 lately, which does not support 700 series GPU.

Moreover, the GPU is said to be "Superclocked" in your System Specs. Does that mean it is factory overclocked?
I know that people say that factory OC is good, but I would say you to down the clock to normal.

A huge power is needed there to run a Superclocked GTX 770. May be 620 watts is not enough down there. Get a bigger one.

And, it is supposed to cause a heat, too. Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/311593-speccy-publish-snapshot-your-system-specs.html .

From my knowledge and from what the people from the newegg forums said, I have a sufficient PSU unless I wish to SLI another OC'd GTX770 or if I want to do a tri-monitor set-up, which I have no desire to do such.
And yes, the GPU came factory OC'd. I also believe my GPU is running about 60mhz higher than normal base speed. Which isn't a big deal on the PSU.
Did Furmark for almost 40 minutes. Screenshot for results.

Edit: Just finally did the BIOS update successfully.

System heat is not the issue here, as it appears.

Furmark ran enough time, without any problem. So the GPU is also in the safe side. (Though the 700 series is always difficult to troubleshoot).

You need to apply alternative driver version, to test if any of those is giving you any stability.

If the situation is same irrespective of the driver version, apply any other GPU (below 700 series) to see if there is any change.

Also, take one RAM module out. Let the computer run with one RAM stick only. See if it changes the situation anyhow or not.

Let us know the results.

I'm gonna move back to the update that is on the disk that came with my GPU see if that will help. I also don't have access to other dedicated GPU, but I can use my Intel 4600 integrated if need be (recommended?). The Speccy log I uploaded was before I did the Furmark test.
And we're testing to see if my RAM is good? I've run Memtest for 27 consecutive passes before without error if that's in question.
Also, would you recommend I put Driver Verifier back up? Derekimo told me to turn it off last night.

Any other Graphics unit is recommended, including onboard.

I am suggesting to use one RAM module only, because some motherboards cannot work properly when all the RAM slots are occupied. Test does not detect it.

Driver verifier is not needed now.

Well Svyn the Classic Shell just opens the whole machine in 7 mode after you login (if you use login) not just the start button if you get into the 8 stuff the way back is simply the Win key and X and click desktop.
I don't have a problem with it except that opening a PDF file sit always reverts back to the 8 stuff and again getting back to the desktop is the same.
So for a very few differences I am using 7 to all intents and purposes.

Many Reviews and tests show that the GTX770 is power hungry. 650 is nominal at best. your starving the board with that low a PSU. Tom's hardware review
