Hello everyone,

I'm using multiple displays (extended) with a laptop and a monitor.
I use the monitor above the laptop and not alongside it.
this works fine, except everytime I lock my laptop (which I do several times a day) - the screen then defaults back to the right of the laptop monitor.

I've searched the web, but found nothing about it.

thanks and regards,
dan

Hi there
Check your Laptop setup
usually setting one of the Fn (Function keys) sets the default configuration when you are using dual monitors with a laptop -- also check the power configurations to see if you are turning off the display after a while.

Note also that the external monitor itself may have its own HARDWARE screen turn off facility which you set in the "Monitor Menu".

This might interfere with the laptop as it could think the external screen is no longer connected.

If all else fails when "unlocking" the computer pressing a Fn key shouldn't be too problematic -- it's only an extra key stroke after entering your password - not worth spending 40 USD to avoid.

Cheers
