Multiple users, parental control, locked user running program

So I recently made two users for my computer to keep my children from playing ALL of the time. During a playsession of minecraft their account was locked by timesettings. Very good so, BUT the program is still running in the locked user-account. (I can hear it..) Does anyone know how to shut it off?

At school, when faced with a locked account,I unplug the desktop, or remove ac and dc power from the laptop, for about 30+ seconds. Any locked account has been "unlocked and closed" by the absence of ac or battery power.
