How can I transfer music from my laptop to my PS3. I've already tried a flash drive but the PS3 doesn't recognize it because it is an encrypted flash drive. I also can't use a network to do it because all I have is one ethernet cable for both my computer and PS3. If anyone has any ideas please help. :banghead:

By one ethernet cable for both I assume you mean you cant connect both to each other, but you can connect both to the internet separately. Going by this I would upload what you want to an online storage (SkyDrive, ADrive, iDrive, etc) then download them onto your PS3.

But I don't have a PS3 so I can only guess that this would work...

I am in a college dorm with only one ethernet jack but I did just get a switch for them. The only way I could get online on the PS3 was to use the IP address, and all the other stuff the PS3 requires to get online that my computer was using so only one can be online at a time.

If you use a FAT32 formatted pendrive (PS3 does not recognise NTFS) you can easily transfer your music from your PC to PS3. Thats how I have been doing it and no problems. While transferring, get into "Music" in the Xbar and then to the control panel>Show all or something like that and copy. ( I am putting this out of my memory since I do not have a PS3 in my current location. If you do not have the manual, refer to the manual online)
