Hi
I have lots of individual songs from many artists and albums, besides full abums, but I would like to put them in a "Various" virtual folder in Artist view mode, (I've solved this on Album view, see image, disregard the cover shown), but I don't want to destroy the Artist name in tag as I did in Album) They are on the same "Various" physical folder.

I can't use folder view in this computer (basic netbook) because it takes ages to content to show while Album/Artist view is almost instant.

Is there a way to put all individual songs under Various in Artist view mode the same way as I got on Album view but without modifying the Artist tag, to avoid the actual clogging of library with 1 song artists?

Thanks

I got kind of confused with your question, but I think the trick is to differentiate the "Artist" tag and the "Album Artist" tag. It works the same way for compilations. For Album Artist, just put Various Artists across all your songs, then use the Artist (in some programs, Track Artist) tag with the actual artist of the song. I think that would do the trick.

Hi Many thanks, your idea fixed it +rep for you.

But I had noticed now there are lots of files under "unspecified" and opening it shows many files with all tags empty despite everything is tagged properly according to MediaMonkey & Foobar2000 what can cause this?Meanwhile I will try to rebuild the index

Many thanks!

Fixed the last issue by installing the FLAC plugin, seems that I have some FLACS sputtered there
