Hi guys,
The only real problem with Wndows 7 Media Center is the way it displays the music library.

I got a huge collection of Mp3's on my media center and all are in their own dirs like Dance , Disco, Reggae etc etc. Windows Media Center somehow refuses to show the library by dir it just lists all the songs in all the dirs wich is very inconvieniant whit a large collection of music. (i have to scroll from A to Z all the time)

Is there any possible way to have the music shown on the screen by Directory name first so i can scroll and sellect a genre (directory) first ?

Thanks for any pointers in this issue...

The best I can suggest is you have your files tagged properly with the genre in all your files.
If that was done then you could choose which you wanted. Alternatively and easier, create playlists of the genre's you want and use the playlist option from the menu.
Or use the Media Player instead.

Hello, this seems to be just what I want .. I have a very large mp3 collection, and I want it to show "folder" view .. like in the player ..

but I installed it, and then I don't find it in mediacenter ... ?? how will I be able to execute it from within mediacenter (so it will write that config file mentioned in the support page (below)...)

CONFIGURING MUSIC BROWSER
After the plugin installation, you will need to launch Music Browser (localized in the Music strip of Media Center) for the first time. A xml configuration file called MusicBrowser.config is then created in the directory C:\ProgramData\MusicBrowser. Edit this file with your favourite text edior

Does it work alright in win 7 ultimate x64 ?

it installs into program filesx86 by default is that ok even if I run x64 ?

I apologize about asking so many questions, but I cannot seem to get my head around this ..

have a good one

It's working fine here on Win7 Ult 64. If you can't find it under "Music" try looking at Extras.
