Installed 64-bit Lightroom 2.5 on new Win-7 box. Entered serial numbers and LR started OK, but when I close LR and restart, it asks for serial numbers again

Lightroom Forum provided the link You must enter your serial number each time you open Photoshop Lightroom 1.x, which gives registry-fix paths for Vista and XP to change permissions to save serial numbers, but these paths don't exist in Win 7. I searched the registry for "serial_number," "registration," and other possibilities, but no luck.

Adobe responded, in part, as follows:

"We believe your issue is resolved and have therefore closed your case #202645724."

"About your concern, try to check the system requirement of the product if it will run on a 64 bit. We are still conducting test since Windows 7 is a new Operating System."

I'd be very grateful for any assistance.

Problem solved! Went to C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Lightroom 2.0 Registration.lrreg, deleted "Lightroom 2.0 Registration.lrreg," which was apparently corrupt, and 64-bit Lightroom 2.5 started normally. Thanks to quetzalita at Lightroom Forums: LR 2.5 serial numbers not retained.
