Im trying out quickdrag too atm. It's nice, I don't think I've discovered its true potential yet because Im not 100% sure what it does. But Im learning so far.

Static: It's my recommendation that you don't bother with ANY defrag program - doubly so if you're not sure what they do. Win 7 has an automatic, always on defrag happening in the background which you never need to think about. One less thing to spend your time either doing or worrying about. MS built the system, they chose the defrag, they decided we don't have to interface with it. why not rely on it?

Most of us who use other defraggers are inveterate fiddlers and there may be some bells and whistles with 3rd party defraggers but for most purposes the built in one should do you fine. There's a long thread on this subject here so if that doesn't confuse the hell out of you nothing will!

If I've helped hit the scales and give me a thrill

quickdrag just speeds up the process of browsing. the basic idea behind it is much like a mouse gesture, but it's context-sensitive. the only movement is grabbing and dragging, and the drag just has to be a few pixels in order to work.

here are a few ways to use it:

- drag a hyperlink to open it in a new tab
- select and drag a non-hyperlinked url to open it in a new tab
- select and drag an email address to compose a new email in your default app
- select and drag any other text to open a new tab and search that text in google.
- drag an image to bring up the "save as" dialog
- hold CTRL and drag an image to view the image in a new tab

it's an active project and there are updates all the time. try it, you'll like it :D

OK Guys your list of programs are awesome but I MUST WARN YOU!!!!!!!! Do not use CCleaner at this time!!!! (or at least the registry cleaning part of it). Check the forums if you don't believe me but it removes entries that allow bluetooth devices to work properly and device stage to work ok and who knows what else....wait for them to release a version for Win7.

That is all

Zidane is correct about CCleaner, AND ALL REG CLEANERS. I personally had no problems with CCleaner's Reg cleaner, but then again, im using the 7127 Build.
