Hello,
I have been playing MVP Mancala Deluxe (paid) for years on 2 XP Machines.
Now I have a new Win 7 Home Premium from Dell and when I try to install the game I get:

"Setup is unable to find installation languages in C:\Users\JDH\Local\Temp\pft3B2E>tmp\SETUP.LI file Error 105."

I download a fresh copy . Same problem.
I have tried to contact MVP Software but am ignored.
Any hope?

File path is wrong

C:\Users\JDH\Local\Temp\pft3B2E>tmp\SETUP.LI

should read

C:\Users\JDH\AppData\Local\Temp\pft3B2E>tmp\SETUP.LI

So contact the developer.

Also double check your Environment Variables for your User account are correct.

Start> Run then type

sysdm.cpl

Press ENTER

Then Advanced> Environment Variables

Under User Variables for JDH it should read

C:\Users\JDH\AppData\Local\Temp

for the TEMP and TMP entries. Unless you've made changes on purpose.

Thanks for responding.
As I said MVP does not respond after several tries, that's why I came here.

Here is a screen shot of advance variables.

\pft3B2E>tmp\SETUP.LI
does not appear in any tmp, temp file

XP program on Windows 7

Hi again,

Your Environment Variables look fine so leave them as they are.

If I understand correctly the program that you're trying to install is designed to run on XP. I've downloaded the free version and tried to install it in XP Compatibility Mode. I get the same error.

I look in the temp file and no such file is listed.

Conclusion: It's not going to run on Windows 7.

You might get it to run like this but not on your Windows 7 Home Premium Edition.

Other than that there's more advice here:

I've only read the article and haven't ever used this method so after reading it you know as much as I do.
