okay so I was listening to music using spotify and I got up and accidentally jerked my headphones out of my computer and now spotify is saying that there is a problem with my sound card and so nothing on my computer has sound. please help as soon as you can.
The Headphone jacks on many PC's have extra contacts that tell the PC if a headset is plugged in. Could be that jack got damaged. If that jack is damaged it will think there is still a headset plugged in and there will not be any speaker sound.
The damaged headset jack is one possibility. Can't say what else could have happened. Is the "Speakers" (the PC sound card) shown as the default Playback device? in the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally the Sound Panel playback section?
