My computer just suddenly shut down. There was no shut down screen, it just went black out.

After I reset my power generation. My computer doesn't turn on anymore. Only the monitor is the one can be turned on.

Could you please, tell me why is this happening?

So please, oh please, reply me back, and tell me what to do!

I believe it was my power-supply. So how do I troubleshoot while it's not.. functioning?

I have another choice. Will it solve the problem if I buy another power-supply for my computer?

Thank you!

So please, oh please, reply me back, and tell me what to do!

Yes, it will help in trouble shooting your problem with a new power supply.
There are power supply testers that you can use but they cost almost as much
as a new power supply. Or if you can take your power supply to a pc shop and
have them test it.

But there is also the possibilty that one of your plug in boards could have gone bad.
I would remove all the boards that you can and unplug your hard disks and see if the power supply comes up. It could be your hard disk or one of your boards.

Following on from richnrockville's good advice, you could still buy another power supply as they are not expensive.

If the fault isn't subsequently the power supply, you can either keep the one you bought as a spare or return it for a refund.

Did you check the flow chart in the link I gave you? It does contain good advice on what steps you need to take.

Yes I did it. I will have to find another power-supply as soon as possible.

Thank you very much!

I bought a new power-supply and it works, but I have another problem. After setting up BIOS. I see lots of square root signs all over my screen flashing. And I see underscore flashing at the upper-left corner. The background is white, like the color of Rarity. And some area are colored in a small rectangle shape.

Can you tell me why is this happening?

So please, oh please, reply me back, and tell me what to do!
