My computer is going slower *without* Internet

All informations are in my Profile,

PROBLEM : My computer is working properly, but since the connection drops & stop working, something weird start to happen.
My computer is taking 10x more time to start any independant game (CoD4, for example) or even iTunes, or a video or anything that don't EVEN needs Internet.
I searched for about 30 minutes everywhere, and it feels like i'm the only one having this, or maybe i'm not typing the problem correctly.
Someone told me that was maybe because of some ports or shit like that. But regardless to what he said, I would really appreciate if anyone could help with this.

So you`re saying you loose your internet, and then your entire computer slows down ?

Or is it just internet related programs ?

Can you disconnect from the internet, then restart your computer. Does it function normally then ?

What is your internet connection speed ?

Hmm no, whatever the program, like a normal music program, or even with Windows Media Player. For example, with iTunes, it take hours to *start* & after that, it keep freezing with 1 minutes of interval.

Btw, i'll try to restart computer without Internet

Okay i tried it, but the same problem appeared. It looks like simples softwares that can be runned without Internet on laptops, aren't working for me on my PC (Only if Internet is down)

Because you don't use a anti virus program their is a very good chance you are infected.

Ya, you have to be careful what you download and pay very close attention.

But not at all is lost, go into Programs and Features and look over the list of installed programs and remove anything you did not mean to install.

This could be a simple fix.


Run a Windows Defender scan and install Malwarebytes and run a scan.

Jack, windows defender is part of windows 7 so when someone says they don`t have any anti virus installed they have no clue, they actually do

My understanding is Windows Defender is not a anti virus program.
It's a poor anti Malware program.
