My computer has been restarting randomly for the past few days and it's driving me crazy since I'm a student and I really need my computer to do all of my homeworks:cry:. After the last unplanned restart, I went to event viewer--windows logs--system, and it appears that the restart was because of:

Source: USER32

The process svchost.exe has initiated the restart of computer HOST-PC on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: Operating System: Hot fix (Planned)
Reason Code: 0x80020011
Shutdown Type: restart

What does this mean?

I have window 7 home premium 64 bit. Please help!

Same Issue

I am having the exact same event occur. Every 15 minutes or so it causes a reboot with no BSOD (as there was technically no error). I would like to rectify this as soon as possible as it makes extended processes in-completable. *edit* I solved it! Apparently there was a x32 svchost running for some reason. Ending the process solved the issue an I may need to look further on WHY there was a x32 process running. Mayhaps some old software somewhere or a virus? In any case; my system looks clean.
