Hi ,

We have the following issue, on windows 7 enterprise 64 bit.
Every new local user that is created on the machine, the My Documents folder is redirected to d:\users\%username%\
I have checked the local policies, and none of them is enabled.
Then i checked the registry and found under this key :
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

the following :

Personal
d:\users\%username%\Documents

so i changed to

%userprofile%\Documents

and still if i create a new user, the documents folder is created on the D:\Users

Any ideas anyone?

thanks

Wait.. Im confused. You DONT want the user to have a new Documents folder? Or it is just creating the documents folder in the wrong place? Whats the problem? hah.

Hello Stoof, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Did you restart the computer after making the registry changes to apply them so not to have them created at the D: location?

Have you tried changing the reg setting to c:\users\%username%\documents instead of %userprofile%\documents?
