My fan keeps whizzing on and off constantly

Hey
My fan keeps whizzing on and off constantly when I do the most mild of tasks like browsing the web. Its been pretty constant since I installed my SSD. To be honest in a quiet room its pretty annoying. Do I require an update to the Asus bios on my Zenbook ? any idea of a fix ?

I would suggest you to check the air cooling vents and make sure that the passages are not clogged with lint and other stuff.


Check if anything is touching the blades of the fan. If that seems to be fine, Update the BIOS. Plug your computer to a good, working UPS before you update the BIOS. If you experience a loss of AC power or a significant voltage sag/spike during the BIOS flash, you will either have to buy a new BIOS chip or buy a new motherboard.
