I was unable to burn any dual layer DVD media. I went into log and error message informed me that I had a corrupt AC3 codec. I simply downloaded a new codec and installed it. Problem solved.

You're welcome. I have had this problem for awhile, I am sorry I did not give error code, but I have done much research on the web. You'd be surprised at how many people have lost the ability to burn dual layer discs in Windows vista and Seven. 4.7 GB disks are unaffected. Very few solutions. Also while burning its a good idea to temporarily disable your antivirus! Speeds the process up more than you would believe! Here is the error copied from Windows 7 event viewer. Program I used to burn with is Cyberlink's Power2go. But burning dual layer failed in DVDFab, Imgburn as well.
