My Games Not Displays full screen help!!!

>i hav a Laptop compaq CQ-40 with ati graphic HD3450...1st time i format it..it's ok on the games...but when the second time i've formated it...the problems start to come...i dun know what really the problems...it wont go full screen...when i've adjust the resolution...it even dun make any changes...but worst...my desktop also turn box kind of screen with the black edges on the right and left...but also up and the right..i got see in the forum..got many people hav same problems as me..they have solved it...but it's only for nvdia...i need problems solved for Ati...Anyone plisss help...

Set the game's aspect ratio and resolution to what matches your screen.

If you can't do that in the game, then you're out of luck.

If you think it worked on Vista, it did not. It incorrectly stretched your screen out so it showed a square as a rectangle.

i know...but my problem now is....1st time i formated to win7...the game works just perfect with the right picture....but when the 2nd i reformated it using the same disc...same driver...the problems comes..i got see in the forum where people got same prob as me..but almost all them use nVdia...they only have solution for the nVdia.. all over the google i searched for Ati configure...but not one help...even i upgrade my catalys..also didnt help me...
