Hi Guys, hope you'll be able to help with my software issue.
I have two laptop, one is installed with windows 8 and the other is windows 7. I copied images from windows 8 and pasted it on my windows 7 installed laptop. I can't view the photo so i downloaded Picasa to view the pictures. Unfortunately, after changing the properties of my images to view in Picasa; the other installed software like my browsers and other software directs only to VLC player when i'm trying to open it.

I don't know how did it happen that it opens VLC player, is it virus?

Thanks for help. God bless.

When you install any third party Media Players, you need to set the default file type associations. If you do not change the players default settings, it will automatically set itself as the new default player. During install look for "File Type Associations." If you do not want the player to automatically play audio files, or certain types of audio files. You would uncheck audio or just uncheck the file types you do not want it to play. The same goes for video files. Let's say, you open your music folder, find the song you want in the list. Right click on the song, select "Open with Media Player, or VLC player, etc. That's one way to do it. Another way is to leave the file type associations selected, then set the default player you want to use for music, videos, or both. To do this you would click on the Start Orb, then click Default Programs. In there you would setup your chosen default player, set you file association, or set your auto play.

Also, take a look at this tutorial:

Hope this helps,
John
