my internet is SO slow..

Hello. Thanks for hearing me out.

I installed windows 7 professional on my computer just a couple of days ago. Everything seemed to be going fine until yesterday evening. I went to a basketball game and came back to find my internet running extremely slow (it was fine before I left)... college town.. used to slow internet.. no problem.. except its only on my computer... and not my roommates. The internet also seems to stream netflix and is ok with gaming online. However my computer can barely bring up internet pages.

I'm not very tech savvy so if you can help i need clear instructions. I'm ok with a slow internet but what bothers me is that its only my computer with its newly installed windows 7. It's just really ticking me off. Is this a common issue when going from vista to 7? I just want the problem to go away.

edit: probably should be in the internet forum... saw this one first sorry.

Make sure its not due to some malaware
Download and run a full scan with malwarebytes
Run a full antivirus scan

if not try clearing your internet caches. for me also i never install any search bars or too many addons (if your using mozilla) You could also try downloading CCleaner wich will clear all unwanted files from your pc with the pro bonus of fixing any pc problems it finds aswell. Good luck hope the answers help
