My jpg filels are nearly 6 to 7mb sise in jpg format

Hi, ofcourse, I have a latest model redmi note 10x pro and photos taken from its camera is in jpg format but each having a near 6mbs size.
I tried to include about 15 pictures of jpg to my gmail account, but found only 4 of them have been included in the enclosures.Just hovering in each of the enclosures show a near 6 to 7 mb sizes. Normally gmail allows 15mbs in one time, but how these jpgs occupy huge storage is not known to me.
If i want to reduce to kbs size as normal jpg format file has, what should I do

My jpg files can be 50 meg so yours are very small there are lots online that can compress them for you TinyJPG – Compress WebP, PNG and JPEG images intelligently

IrfanView 4.60 is what I use to reduce the file size of photos that I create or receive which are several MB's in size. I also use it as my default photo viewer.

There are a number of programs that you can use to resize photos. Some are easy to use and some take a long time to learn.
Some are free and some will cost you money.

I'm thinking you want something simple and FREE, right? Years ago, my own Computer Guru introduced me to a very simple and FREE program called "Photo Filtre" (no that's not misspelled, it's French)
My own digital camera will take pictures in HI Res that are 30+ MB in size. So I have to shrink them down before I ever save them to my PC or attach to an email, etc. All my photos wind up being less than 800KB in size, when I save them to my computer. I can also add contrast if a pic seems to be too light or hazy. And I can also add text to my pictures.

I like FREE and even more I like Simple. Give Photo Filtre a try.

Hi, techno. I think , it has more features .
could you just say, how to use compress menu in simple steps.
So, I think that the size is because of the pixel size of the image taken by the mobile camera.
Just imagine taking about 200 photos and your storage has gone down by more than a gb.
Could you suggest an android app that would do this on android.

Sorry, I don't use Android. I use only IBM Compatible PC's, running windows 8.1.

In Photo Filtre, I first access a photo, to open it in Photo Filtre, then right click on it, to get the functions menu then click on Image Size, and then change only the horizontal size to 600 and save that, by clicking OK. The vertical size will follow appropriately.
The photo should then be of a size that is good for saving or sending via email.

I've never had formal training nor have I seen a tutorial for Photo Filtre. I've had to train myself, by just using the program.

To get a photo into Photo Filtre, I just find the photo in Windows Explorer, and copy it to the 'Clip Board' (CTRL + C) and then paste it in to a blank screen in Photo Filtre. Then I can crop it, resize it, etc. before saving it to the HD.

I've shared Photo Filtre with several of my friends/customers who work with photos every day, and they LOVE it.
I call it my "Poor Man's Photo Shop".
