as the title show my keyboard's audio controls stop working when other audio device set as default but when the keyboard is the default audio device they work just fine ,and as i have a subwoofer and a headphone it is painful to change the volume manually

i have a perixx periboard 304 which have a built in speakers and doesn't have a driver of its own

Use the other audio device and adjust the sound from within windows 7 via right click of Playback Devices/Mixer via the speaker icon in your task tray?

Keyboard as audio device would only control that audio, unless there was a specific driver for windows 7 to specifically handle those duties with that keyboard, and looks like you answered that one; no driver.

I visited the Perixx website, indeed listed OS support ended at Vista, I would try using the Vista driver anyway, just in case, looks like tech from 2007, so indeed Windows 7 was not out yet.
