Ok. so the past couple of weeks my laptop has been running incredibly bad.. First Problem arise when I put my laptop to sleep. It was working when it was brand new, no problems whatsoever. But lately every time i would put my laptop to sleep, it would crash after been woken up. By crash i mean, everything freezes, nothing moves, cursors frozen, nothing.... So i stopped putting it to sleep.

2nd problem was after the sleep problem, Whenever i enter a some sites, my laptop completely freezes. Eg. (i searched methane on Google the other day for homework and my laptop completely froze, had to forcefully shut it down. It wasn't just the internet browser, it was my laptop as well, nothing was functioning. Its not a one time thing because every time i search up methane it crashes .. ) Basically i would just stop searching up stuff...

3rd Problem Arrived today, Laptop would take extremely long to start up. Like 10-15mins to start up. This problem just showed up today, and i have no idea whats wrong!!

SOLUTIONS
- I've tried scanning computer with viruses, couldn't find any?
- I've tried clearing cookies and cache, doesn't work..
(Laptop freezes no matter what browser i'm using)

I'm not really good with computers to I don't know whats wrong at all! If someone could help, it would be kindly appreciated If you need anymore information just ask.
I'm not sure about type of laptop, graphics card and all the other useful stuff, so if anyone could tell me how to find these things out i will.

Any help would be appreciated !! Desperate need on help ~

EDIT: Another problem is that i can't use my aero themes? My laptop changed itself to windows basic and now i can't change it back to aero theme... Helppp

EDIT2: I ran cmd prompt/admin,
Results :
"Window Resource Protection did not find any integrity protection"

EDIT3: Solution that i have tried..
I've completely removed Mcafee, but I'm still getting a slow start up problem
Current Porgrams : Spybot,Avast,and Malwarebytes.

Have you checked the startup items? Open the Run command on the Start Menu and type msconfig. On the Startup tab, see what's checked and it should not have so many items checked in there cause it delays startup. Try disabling some items in there but always leave your antivirus checked on that list. reboot the computer and see if that goes any better. And make sure you don't have two antivirus programs installed and running at the same time. Other problems could be:

1. It could be a hardware problem.

2. It might be caused by a malware infection so consider doing a malware scan.

I also recommend you install CCleaner to take care of the junk files that make your computer slower over time.

Your computer has no allergy towards "methane" I suppose ;)

Looks like the OS has few problems.

Open Command prompt window from Startmenu-All Programs-Accessories, Select Command prompt with a right click and click on "Run as Administrator".

In the opened Command Prompt windows type, SFC /SCANNOW.

The computer will run a self check and will correct any problems with system files.

Try this first and post the results.

Ok, I ran msconfig, and i just decided to disable all options when starting up. Then when i restarted my computer, nothing changed. It still took 10-15mins to start up. Its stuck on a black screen with the cursor in the middle, and i can move the cursor?

I told you not to disable your antivirus entry on the Startup list so you do not risk your computer's safety. Try enabling your antivirus on the startup list again. Anyways, do a malware scan and see if it picks up anything. We are trying to narrow the cause of your problem.

sfc /scannow is an option I would try next after a malware scan.

Will Avast! detect any malware? I have "spybot search and destroy" and Avast!

First I recommend do the things that have been posted.
1. Do not turn off your anti virus
2. Scan with your anti virus
3. Run for the cmd prompt/admin. sfc /scannow. If System File Checker finds a problem run it two more times rebooting between each.
4. Let us know what you find.
Knowing what you find will help us guide you farther.

sounds like an os issue..

1- did you try to use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to see if you have some malware if the other software didn't find anything yet?

2- if the problem continues after doing some software troubleshooting then hardware troubleshooting is next.

3- try to remove your ram and hard drive and leave them out for like 30 mins and then put them back.

let me know if it works. most of the time it works on me when doing troubleshooting on laptops. =)

2. Could you help me out with this step? not sure what to do

3. I'm terrified to take open my laptop :P Not sure if i'd be able to put it back once i take out the RAM

I would first use Avast if I were you. Just use it to scan for malware and see if it picks up anything, OK. Remember, I told you not to have 2 antivirus programs installed and running side by side cause that often makes conflict causing severe lagging at the computer. Then if you are not satisfied with Avast, uninstall it before you install Malwarebytes but maybe Malwarebytes takes some time to update though so little patience there then use that to scan for malware and tell us what you find.

You don't have to remove your RAM immediately. We have to look for other possible culprits in the system first.

I'm doing the scan now, so hopefully something shows up and i can get rid of it :D
Will post results soon~

Yes, if you are going to install Malwarebytes, uninstall Avast but let Avast finish scanning your computer first.

First off slow down, we are not here to heart you but to help you. After you do your scans with you anti virus run Malwarebytes Anti Malware free. You do not have to remove your anti virus or turn it off. Make sure you update these programs before you run them. MBAM works well with other programs. The reason you run more that one security program is because no one program does it all. I call it layered protection. Their are many things that can cause your problem, we need to make sure their is no bug (virus and the such first). I would sure like to know if you have run any Tune up programs or registry cleaners. These kinds of programs can do all kinds of bad things. But right now lets stick with making sure your computer is not infected. When those security programs are updated and run let us know what is found. Their is another scan I would like for you to run after that. We know it takes time. Here is the little fly in the ointment. If a computer gets infected and then it's cleaned of the infection the damage the infection has done might not be repaired. If need be we will help you through that. Get back to us.

Alright, well the results after my scan are..
I removed a bunch of adware? I'm not sure if thats the problem? but i didn't get anything else from the scan. Soo now what would you like me to do?
And how do i make sure my 2 antivirus aren't colliding with each other? I actually have Mcafee,Avast, and malware bytes. Not sure if Spybot Seach And Destroy is an antivirus, but i have that too.

You simply must not have multiple antivirus programs installed and running at the same time. Last time, I did not recall you say that you installed Mcafee as well? Are you saying you now have Avast, Mcafee and Malwarebytes installed and running at your computer right now plus you also have Spybot? That is a recipe for disaster. I suggest you must only have one of these programs installed. Not sure if Spybot is OK with any of them but Avast, Mcafee and Malwarebytes must not linger there at the same time. You must have only one of them installed and running at your computer. A very slow computer is a very common symptom of antivirus program conflict.

Remove McAfee completely using their official McAfee Consumer Product Removal tool (MCPR.exe). McAfee has a history of not working well with Windows 7. Read this McAfee article completely. It basically says that Windows 7 users should first remove McAfee using Control Panel > Programs and Features BEFORE using the MCPR tool. And the download link for the MCPR removal tool is given in the XP Users section.

How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee consumer products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe)

Malwarebytes is a unique product that works perfectly well along side other antivirus suites. It is NOT meant to be used as a stand alone computer protection program. Especially the free version because it has no real time scanning. Only when two antivirus products have real time scanning enabled do people have conflicts and crashes. In other words, using Malwarebytes Free (or the paid Pro version) along side Avast 6 is perfectly fine.

Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a free download that removes viruses and malware from your computer

Malwarebytes will work with a anti virus program with no problem.
marsmimar and I have both posted this information. You do not need to turn off Avast when running Malwarebytes. Just a note, don't scan with two programs at the same time. Have you used any Tune Up programs or registry cleaners? For us to help you we need timely information.
