The system just dies when i am logged in, very difficult to work. Mouse keeps getting frozen and it feels like it wont just move.

At times the fan speed also increases (you could hear fan speed increasing).

Please help!!!

Regards,
Adil Ashraff

Fan speed will increase when temperature rises, you may be suffering with overheating problem, check system temperatures

If temps are ok then i would suggest running virus/malware scans to check for any infections
If you are unable to run any scans before freezing then try running an offline scan, something like http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/166445-windows-defender-offline.html

I'd Remove All of those then run SUPERAntiSpyware.com - Downloads.

Disable all add-ons in Browsers>Tools except Flash player, set only Google under search Services, ticking box to prevent any other. Uninstall anything you don't use in Control Panel>Programs. Is Babylon still there? Uninstall and then scan again.

Establish a Clean Boot, run SFC, check the logs, System Resources and other Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7

Hi,

Have removed 17 threats including Trojan using Malware and 354 threats using Spyware.

The performance seems to be good now after cleaning up everything. But the temp seems to be around 48-50 degrees mark. any idea what could be causing that?

Thanks for all the help!!

Adil

The temps are a tad on the high side for my liking anyway but nothing really to get worked up about. Just check out the air intake over the fan on the bottom.
If you shine a bright light into that aperture and then look into the air outlet you should see clear air ways or if not then they are getting a bit clogged.

Now to clean the air ways out DO NOT blow air into the fan opening at any great speed it will spin the fan faster than it's intended speed rating and may wreck the bearing. Just a decent puff or two from the outlet of a vacuum cleaner if you must sue a compressed air can insert something very gently into the fan blades to stop them spinning but be careful.

Glad you ran the scans I sent certainly cleaned up a bit of crap eh?

Yes, it did clean up a lot of unintended files...cookies, which were detected as threat were cleaned up with spyware and trojan and other malwares were deleted using malware.

Thanks a lot Gary :) I one happy person now

Install Speedfan to get variable fan speeds as needed, and to monitor temps from SystemTray if you copy it's .exe into the Start>All Programs>Startup folder.

Here's more help on cleaning out the laptop. Chances are there's a more specific video if you google your exact model:
