My monitor looks like its got sunglasses on

I have an Acer x193w monitor. And the brightness is dull.

This morning I noticed a message something like Nvidea has recovered from an error or something like that.

Pressing the adjust button I cannot access the display panel with mouse or cursor to adjust.

How can I adjust brightness?

Press start button.. and in start box paste this:

%windir%\explorer.exe Shell:::{025A5937-A6BE-4686-A844-36FE4BEC8B6D}

and... you'll see the Brightness bar .. Adjust it to your liking

In addition, you could also use OPTION TWO or OPTION THREE in the tutorial below to adjust your screen brightness. It's the same in Windows 7.
