The guys here pretty much covered a fair deal of stuff here already. Only other recommendation I might make as a computer geek is probably also putting in a few quid to get an external hard drive and backing up your computer onto it using the Windows 7 Backup. Put it off to the side somewhere as well. The DVDs are good to get the system up, but having it on an external HD makes it a wee bit faster after you get the initial reinstall back up and less hassles of swapping or holding a lot of DVDs.

Monthly is good, but you really don't have to backup your entire system monthly unless you install programs a lot. You can do a simple weekly files and folder backup for just the important stuff and won't take nearly as long as well.

Welcome to the forum, that looks a nice machine you have Ciara, I see it contains 2 hard drives so you could use one of the drives for backup if you don't have an external one at present.

Richard gave you the link for the tutorials, there is a lot of good information there so that, and the good people here should be all you need to keep that machine purring.

Welcome to the Forum. If you place this desktop system on the floor and especially if you enjoy carpeting you will want to have a twice a year cleaning plan. All computers draw air into them and the charged components act as filters and all the dust sticks to the fans, fins and metal surfaces. Get some compressed air cans for blowing the dirt and dust off (take computer outside is best). The team here is the best and you will find tons of quality help to any questions you may have.

Hi Keiichi25 yes a external hard drive would be a good idea as I don't have one atm, and thank you Joan Archer the second hard drive is blank so I could use that until I get a external hard drive , my Computer is on a carpeted floor linnemeyerhere so I will get some compressed air cans for blowing the dirt and dust off, thank you for your helpful advice
