My oldest HDD's S.M.A.R.T : should I worry?

Hi guys.
I checked my 200GB (system hard drive) using Speed Fan and it gave that :

Should I worry about it dying? Because, if it's about to die, I will buy another one and save my data.


Btw, is there a way to check the S.M.A.R.T for USB hard drives?

Your drive has the equivalent of a cold. It will eventually prove fatal, but it may take some time. I would make sure I had good backups of the data on that drive and take some pains to ensure they stay current.

You should absolutely ALWAYS keep a data backup. Not just for drive failure, but for user screwups, viruses, theft, etc.

SMART can only go so far in predicting drive death and since you have warning signs, there's a very high chance it'll die sooner than later.

But even with a perfectly healthy drive, backups are important.
