Newer drivers can fix bugs that may appear in the future and may have added features but we dont recommend using the driver sweeper type apps.

That being said, if it is running fine leave it.

I agree with zigzag, if your system is running OK just leave Windows 7 to sort things out.

Many of these so-called driver sweepers can cause more problems than they solve.

You will also find, particularly with the latest manufacturer's drivers, that they possibly haven't been fully tested before being pushed to the user to do the testing for them.

The best advice I can offer is the old adage: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

I agree with Sea Vixen an ZigZag.
Past experience of others with these Drive Sweepers (and other names - there are many similar) produces bold warnings that you have this or that problem, and should download this for X amount of £££$$$. Some have reported scads of emails offering other software.

If it ain't broke ....

One more FWIW. A few weeks ago Windows Update said there was a new driver available for my Sony Vaio Core i5 Intel HD Graphics. I went to the Intel website and installed the driver. Almost immediately I started getting BSODs so I rolled back the driver to the previous version. No more BSODs.

I emailed Intel and their short reply was: if your computer is OEM (Sony, Dell, Acer, etc) always get your drivers from the manufacturer's website. The driver manufacturer provides a generic driver to the OEM (and to Windows Update), and the OEM can then customize the driver for a particular model computer. Once the driver is customized, a newer offering from the driver manufacturer may not work in your machine. So even if a newer driver is available from the driver manufacturer (or Windows Update), wait until the computer manufacturer offers it for download.

And as others have said, if it ain't broke...
