My ongoing Windows 7 freeze part 3

Were you playing it in a browser? Firefox seems to freeze quite often with me recently.

Keep using that port for a while, and report any other freezes.

I mainly use Chrome for music Grooveshark and Youtube.

I haven't used Google Chrome for least 6 months, so I wouldn't be able to comment on it's stability.

Any more freezes?

If you need all the ports working, then you will need to get a new motherboard unfortunately.

Ah also one of my friends has the same problem I do and he has an ASUS Mobo too, his symptoms were very much alike to mine.

It may be a problem with a that particular model, have you checked the support page for any BIOS updates which may have been released to solve this problem? It may be worth searching for reviews about the motherboard, and see if even more people are having the same problem with that model.

I had a look now at anything closely related and couldn't find much but I did freeze up again, this was during me streaming on twitch using OBS Open broadcaster software.
Not sure if this thread is still valid though.

Are you still using the same motherboard as before? What did the reviews say?

Its the same motherboard but most of the issues I looked at are either to do with HDD not being recognized, but I also looked at OBS since someone did mention they got a hardlock while using it to stream.

I think it may be the motherboard, does it still freeze while idle or even in Safe Mode?

Never freezes on idle nor on safe mode, the only time it happened was when streaming so it could be that or the actual software since someone did get a hardlock while using OBS but a different version.

What about other programs? Do they work okay?

Yeah there is xsplit but Open broadcaster software has everything xsplit does but for free.

I think it may something in the program's code, they have a forum here too - https://obsproject.com/forum/ with a bug reports section. It may be best to start a thread there, and explain your problem.

Its alright but i think its back to the old hardware problems and streaming exposes instabilities, maybe the Mobo but im getting a new one in a few months time since i plan to try SLI out.
